No Treasurer's report given

It was announced Mike Schnell had purchased a WACO Classic YPF-7 and was going to take instruction from Bob Wagner of WACO Classic.

Todd got his registration back from OKC because the serial numbers didn't match (Murray didn't copy it correctly). He is going to add a 1 to the document and send it back in.

Neil reported Bud had the engine in the Capella and was waiting on the nose gear. Bud is going to run or fly the engine for ten hours before delivering it.

The group was welcomed by Don Willis who introduced Gretchen Hawk, Bob Wagner, and Patty Wagner. Gretchen was responsible for seeing our meal of barbecue pork or sliced turkey sandwich, baked mixed beans, cole slaw, chips, and a drink of choice was available. Patty spoke of the Aviation Heritage Trail and the program they have at aviation sites throughout the area from the Armstrong Air and Space Museum to Wright Brothers Airport to Urbana and how we could qualify for a Wil-Bear. Bob spoke of WACO Classic and their continued production of a legendary airplane. Don was our guide and enlightened us on the development of the WACO brand from the Cootie to the WACO 10 in the building where we dined. We moved to the main building and Don spoke of the efforts WACO contributed to the war effort producing the CG-4 glider. There were exhibits of the tools, desks, and materials used in the WACO factory.

Information about how you can help or join their efforts is available at http://www.wacoairmuseum.org/

We were all on the road by 3:00 PM
