March 11, 2012

EAA Chapter 922 met at the home of EAA member Walt Vogel.  There were 6 members (Marc Hines, Richard Murray, Ken Boyd, Jason Stechschulte, Neil Winget and Walt Vogel) and one guest (Ann Vogel).  Marc Hines was appointed to be chairman for the day.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.  No treasurer’s report was given.

Old Business: There was no report or update on the patches. The decals might also want to be checked out again. Also the Young Eagles was not discussed since Mike Schnell was not in attendance.  It was reported that there were 9 members and 10 guests present at the dinner meeting.  Thanks were given to the acting secretary for making the arrangements.  It was decided to have a winter dinner meeting again next year.

New Business:  It was decided to have the April meeting on April 15 due to Easter being on the regular meeting date.

Walt and Richard moved that the meeting me adjourned.

After the meeting Walt brought the members up to date on the progress of his Belite. He mentioned that some of the parts are slow in coming!  The group adjourned to the pole barn and inspected the project that Walt is working on.  After that, members went to the house where there was a DVD for their showing.  Young soldiers took this DVD during World War II with pictures in England and possibly Florida. The DVD was given to Neil by Warren Bates.  It was very interesting – real history – not Hollywood!

Cookies and candy were enjoyed thanks to Marc and Ann.
