The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The treasurer was not present, however, he emailed a balance to Walt of $344.26.

Old Business: The winter dinner meeting was discussed. After reviewing the list of possible restaurants, it was decided to go to C J High Marks in Celina on February 25, 2012, at 6 pm. Ann was asked to take care of reservations.

Neil presented an idea for club patches. His suggestion was liked by all. Todd will check with Coldwater EMB about making them for us.

Officers for next year were discussed. After a very short discussion, Neil and Ken moved that the same officers be elected for another year. Motion was carried very quickly. Officers for 2012 will be: Todd Bills, president; Mike Schnell, vice-president; Walter Vogel, secretary; and Gene Will, treasurer.

New Business: Todd then passed out certificates and pins of appreciation to the officers from the national EAA office.

The “snow melt” pool was discussed. It was decided to have it again for this winter. Bets were placed on when the last of the snow would disappear from the ramp at AXV. Those in on the “pool” and dates are: Todd Bills - April 20; Mike Schnell - April 6; Neil Winget - April 7; Ken Boyd - June 1; Walt Vogel- May 5; Marc Hines - April 10; Dick Heiby - March 29; Dick Murray - April 21. The cost to join the “pool” is $5, with the one closest to the date winning one half of the money, the other half goes to the chapter fund. Others are welcome to participate.

Dick Murray announced that the FAA has instituted courses for pilots to attend if they are planning to fly certain areas. For example, the Hudson River in New York City and certain areas in Florida. Dick also showed a propeller from an RV4.

Walt reported that one wing is completed and is working on the other wing.

Ken wanted to know where he could buy fabric for seat coverings.

Mike told us his experiences of going to Catalina Island last week.

Members were reminded that this is the season for critters to find winter housing in the airplanes, so put in a couple of sheets of the fabric softener “Bounce” in your aircraft.

The meeting was adjourned by Dick Murray and Neil Winget after the Christmas cookies and treats were just about gone
