November 13, 2011

Mike Schnell, Vice-President, called the Chapter 922 meeting to order on November 13 at 2:00 pm with the following members present: Walt Vogel, Dick Murray, Marc Hines, Mick Schnell, Gene Will and Neil Winget. Also present was Ann Vogel, guest.

The two designs of patches was passed around. No decision was made. That will be discussed again next month.

The Young Eagles Day was discussed. We had plenty of planes, pilots, and people available to help, but no one to fly. There were finally five that showed up. It was decided that next year we should try again in June rather than in the Fall, and the club need to improve on publicity.

A winter dinner meeting was also discussed. It was decided to have it on Saturday, February 25, 2012. Mike appointed Neil and Ann to come up with a list of possible places.

Project reports: Dick said that about two hours will complete his annual on the 150. He also reported that Lima has several aircraft for sale.

Walt reported that his wing looks like an airplane wing now
.
Neil reported that the EAA and AOPA are suggesting that a drivers license be used to fly certain aircraft. They are in the process of sending a proposal to FAA for comments.

Dick also reported on the latest Webinars from EAA on the net. The last was about the annual inspections on aircraft.

Gene reported that he flew his airplane one evening and because of the time change, it became dark sooner that expected.

Dick and Neil moved the meeting be adjourned.
